Meet the Designer

Growing up in the deep south, my infatuation with nature blossomed at an early age. Our family garden was overflowing with deep colors from every heirloom vegetable and flower. Rows of Zinnias and Sunflowers bordered our garden displaying vibrant orange, yellow, pink and green that looked as though they had been painted pristine with a steady hand.

I had the privilege of studying Horticulture at Mississippi State University with a concentration in Floral Management. By the time I finished university, I had garnered three years of professional experience in the retail floral industry.

I continued as an in-house florist and gardener for an all inclusive wedding venue in Nashville. At the end of my third and final season there, I had already produced 150+ weddings.

Over the next decade, my career has included designing luxury destination weddings worldwide as a freelance florist, managing a retail floral, vintage and ceramic shop in Los Angeles and owning a botanically immersed wellness studio in Nashville.

My interests have blossomed over the years into herbalism, artistic set design, curating space, teaching and prioritizing purchasing local, in-season and non-sprayed blooms. It keeps the Earth close to heart.

Now living full-time in Nashville, Smokespell Floral is my vessel for art and creation.
